Movie Theatre

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Finding a great movie theatre is as critical as finding a good local bar or cafeteria. You actually need a place to go to see pictures a place that is not just a massive, secret all.

On the one hand, you can go to a showcase Theatre or AMC flick theatre the massive, provoking, and ultramodern kind. On the other hand, there’s your area picture house. A large amount of folk believe that bigger and newer means better, but this isn’t necessarily the case. In the area I am living in, there’s an old flick theatre where you can see matinees for $3.75.

They serve lager and popcorn, as will as pizza, and the staff is always friendly and polite. Because they don’t seem to be one of the gigantic picture showcase theatres, they can screen engaging, independent films from time to time. The thing I like most about it is that it’s a local landmark.

The film theater is something unique to the area I’m living in. You’ll be able to find a showcase theatre in any city, but not every place still has its own independent flick theaters. It can be sweet to see something quaint, old skool, and comforting among the bustle of modern urban life.

Naturally, the modern picture multiplex theaters have their own benefits to them. The 2 most clear ones are convenience and comfort. Local picture theatres only have 1 or 2 films showing at the same time, but one of the big ones will show six films at the least on any given day. The standard of the experience may also be better. A gigantic flick theatre will often have better sound systems, better image quality, and better upkeep typically. A lot of the old ones are actually pretty, but sort of worn down. They have seen better times, and have a tendency to not have enough money to actually keep things up like they used to. Don’t misunderstand me the small men have a certain charm to them, and I will not reject that it is fun to drink lager and eat pizza while out watching a picture. Even so, it is frequently nice to be in a position to go to a clean, roomy film theatre where you can see anything you need.
