When I used to be a teen, I had a crash course in security camera surveillance due to a girl I knew. Though I did not know this girl very well, we hung out with the same folk. She had gone into a tiny corner gas station and attempted to shoplift a candy bar. Not only did she get caught, she got into an entire lot of trouble. It looked like lots of fuss over a $.50 candy bar, but I guess that was what was coming to her. What was maddening was that she appeared to learn tiny from this event. As quickly as everything was clear, she went on to a different store and nicked again. What was worrying about this was that she did not appear to learn anything.

We lived in an exceedingly small city and security camera surveillance was not common there.

The majority of the time when you were caught shoplifting you were caught by the owner of the store or another purchaser who saw you nick firsthand. It appeared that there were a lot of bored teens in my city because petty theft in the stores was common. Many stores don’t depend on security camera surveillance because there were such a lot of adults around who would indeed turn in a kid who has scouse borrowed something. What worried me about this girl was that she was leaving city and moving to a particularly urbanized area. She did not appear to understand that taking was inaccurate, and she also did not appear to understand that where she was moving was a more modern place to live.

This meant that even the littlest store in the littlest neighborhood would have security camera surveillance. If she got away with shoplifting again it’d be a miracle.

She also failed to understand that security camera surveillance for something that would be used to guarantee she got into a lot of difficulty. It might not be her word against that of the store owners. Some years back I worked for a greengrocer, and when we commenced working they showed us the room that was put aside for security camera surveillance. Though I knew this store was full of security cameras, I had no ideas how far or how intrusive they work.

As a demonstration, they showed us the way the security camera surveillance worked in the car park. If somebody were to rob something from the store, there were cameras that would zoom in to catch their license plate if the managed to leave the store then was apprehended.
